I love harmonies, good melodies, smart lyrics, & positive energy from anywhere in the world & across the universe. Conversely, negative & talentless hip hop reminds me of disco, only worse. At least "she's a brick house' was fun, but the gangsta garbahge ain't. Bruno Mars destroyed hip hop for today's kids, by dominating pop music outlets, which is good, but his overproduced pile of seductive lies has been reproduced in as many genres as Clear Channel can steal, by overzealous producers looking for a quick hit, making the most boring swill ever. I'm hoping for a new music revolution, of real music with real voices & instruments, but for now will settle for Pandora kinds of joyous discoveries. There's nothing like the joy of discovering new music that one likes or loves, it is one of the best things in life. My latest ones are Sloan from Canada, kind of like Squeeze, and too many new jazz vocal singers to mention, all of them very good, and many great Brazilian vocalists.
