i was born in 47 so i've been around. i was raised in laurel ,md and of course we listened to mou-mou music(that's what my dad called it. but of course we called it rock and roll. i can remember listening to wowo out of ft, wayne indiana when i was i teenager. about the age of 14 i started hearing guys like ray charles and herbie mann. his was one of the first albums i ever bought alond with paul butterfield.it branched out into miles davis and dizzy gillespie(sp)i didn't listen to a lot of jazz in my 30's but got back into it when i started to hear something called "smooth jazz" now i have a wide appreciation for a lot of artists. the list is endless and i've added some "chill to that list like bonobo and praful. that list is endless also. i guess yhou could say that i have a pretty wide range of stuff that i like. i did get to hear both herbie mann and dizzy at constition hall. the best concert i ever attended til i saw spiro gyra in concert. those guys could really play!!
