@terryagray. Chrissie Hinds was always a really creative singer and songwriter and really creative with her voice and music in making certain sounds and hilites on lyrics with her voice. that was great. My City Was Gone. I LOOVE THIS SONG. WAY TO GO OHIO. HAHAHAHA

I regret I didn't listen much to Pretenders or buy much of their stuff. I liked it, but didn't appreciate it as much as I do now that those days are long gone.They really were quite a unique band and still are.

i remember i first saw them right after The Pretenders (1980) album came out..this was at the Armadillo World Headquarters on April 9th, 1980 in Austin Texas....i have often referred to this concert as one of the best i've ever seen...it had the original line up including Honeymoon-Scott, etc...he was incredible and it was just an amazing concert...i remember Martin Chambers hitting the drums so hard he'd break a stick every other minute it seemed, and would throw the broken sticks out into the

Chrissie always leaves me speechless, truly one-of-a-kind just as all the greats are. I don't like to say she rocks harder than any other woman because she holds her own regardless of gender. She rocks harder than ANYONE.

I have always loved Chrissie Hynde. I think she is one of the icons of rock and from the first time I ever saw her I thought she had something very special to offer music; and the proof is that she's still one of the greats. Rock on, Chrissie.
As a fellow graduate of Firestone High School (Hynde around 74 or 75; me 1987), I've always been a fan. I tend to like the original band better (The Pretenders is one of the best albums of the punk era), but the band would not exist without Hynde's songwriting. Just imagine what could've been if Honeyman-Scott didn't abuse heroin. Truly sad.

She was part of the punk era "glam gals". Great then but no one cared about the music but noticed her talent. Saw her perform amazing! Won't find musicians like this anymore. Time marches on with Brittany Spears ugghh
