It is taking longer than expected to fetch the next song to play.
The music should be playing soon.

You consider me the young apprentice Caught between the Scylla and Charibdes Hypnotized by you if I should linger Staring at the ring around your finger.

The Police tapped into reggae induced rock and other World Music grooves that only the musical genius of the three were able to at the time. Though it was a short lived tenure, the greatness of the band is immortal.
Best thing about this song is just how DIFFERENT it sounds from any song on the radio then, or now for that matter! I don't pity the much talked about, imminent death of the music industry on account of a song like this would likely not see much airplay (if any) today, while a bunch of crap that sounds like each other would.
I don't no, garGator I seen POLICE in argentina LIVE on tape & stings' drummer was as perfect * and better that ANY other could of ever done in his role of King-drummer. the gutairest was still hangeng in ther-saving energy, but still on the real road. they just seemed to missing sombody that used to play keyboard , hay sting was still hip and sang / played in latin style inspiration. It was fun to watch and hear on a big S terio teleeversion!
When I saw the Police in concert in West Palm Beach back in the earlier summer of 09. It seemed as though Sting was doing the rest of the band a favor my headlining as the Police. it was obvious the hunger was gone from the rest of the band, and Stings evolution has gone lightyears beyond his old band. They got in the way more than they did good. Sting was in great shape and is still a major musical force of nature. I hope I am as good of physical condition when I'm his age.
One of the best songs in an amazing catalog. Takes the classic love song and the classic break-up song and twists them into a weird beautiful Moebius strip...

You couldn't escape the Police in 1983. I'm tired of Sting and his later output. I will never get tired of this song.
