As ashes return to dust,
fate lies in tragic ceremony
twisting its vision like a myriad
of vacant vessels harboring the
hope of the lost.. desire and longing
merely a faded reflection in the fabric
of desolate dreams..time is no longer a consequence
yet a borrowed concept disguised as necessity
to continue in fabricated existence..telling us we
are but are we really that which we comprehend or
remnant shadows drifting in a sea of diluted memory?

A single light pierced the darkness
as spark became flame
engulfing the shadows,
they withered back from whence they came.

Fearful of what would exile them to abyss,
threatening havoc with chaos’ kiss,
extending the coils of it’s enraged grasp,
to smother and absorb the virtuous caste.

Spurning light-bring inferno to blaze with destructive might..

Reaping all in its path, fed more in this sadistic addiction
as what was once pure becomes tyranny’s victim.
Burning brighter, the flames rise and breed,
absorbing all with insatiable greed.

Smoldering embers, remnants of hells feast
begin to crumble as life succumbs to fury’s beast.
Everything consumed, leaving no trace of what was,
yet rebirth will begin anew, as it always does…
