Music should melodically engage, move me, with heart and soul and wit but without dopey pedantic shmaltz. My Shawn Colvin station is my favorite, a little country, great women singers, great guitars (also see Mark Knopfler)... I also like lots of other stuff, from accessible jazz to classical to acoustic folk... Might suggest Devil Makes Three as a sleeper band pick...
