I like just about genre of music, from Rob Zombie to Beethoven, Metallica to Glenn Miller, Gwen Staffani to The Mamas and The Papas, Michael Jackson (when he was good) to George Strait, and just about everything in between. The one thing you won't find in my selection is Rap. I'm also not fond of really twangy Country, however I will listen to it over Rap any day.

I like to listen to music that fits my mood. In heavy traffic, I find that I can get lost in Rob Zombie and it seems to make the ride to or from work make a little more sense. If I'm cleaning house, I like Cher or Madonna blasting away so I can "dance" with the vacuum or as I'm dusting. If I'm reading or studying, I prefer something classical so there are no words to break my concentration, but yet there's a little white noise. There are times I listen to something that I wouldn't normally listen to (Jimi Hendrix for example) and I find something that I've never heard before, whether it be the words or melody, that makes me want to add it to my music.

Music is a common bond that all human beings have, and if we were all a little more open to the music, we may be able to be a little more open to each other.
