of a thousand black wings

Here comes the birds of winter
here comes the heralds of Samhain
here come the Autum born
here comes the Murder of Crows

The symphony of wings
covers the land
as they dance across
the sky
weaving their ballet
into the tapestry of the night

Gliding on the winds of Winter
they descend upon our cities
on our neighborhoods
and on our homes

The mystic birds
who hold secrets
that other birds only
dream of holding
spread their secret openly
to those who can decipher
their harsh tongue
that hides such sweet music

And here comes the storm
