My high school-aged daughter told me about this site and I LOVE IT!

As a 51 year-old man (51!?!) my ability and desire to search out new music atrophied away long ago. Occasionally I would stumble across a song or artist I enjoyed, but only rarely. Mostly I would just listen to the songs and artists of my youth - although that gets old after a few decades - so, as time went on, I ended up listening to very little music.

I enjoy hearing songs I've never heard before by artists I'm already familiar with as well as being exposed to somewhat similar music by groups I've never even heard of. Plus, rather than having to wonder, "Who the heck is that?" Pandora provides a brief biography of the group.

The only problem with Pandora is that, rather than just be background music, it demands that you interact with the site - you have to work at it!

My wife is a 4th grade teacher in Minneapolis and has Pandora playing a lot in her classroom. The kids enjoy it and she's got a nice, mellow, heavily piano mix going to keep the kids nice and mellowed out.

I really enjoy this site!
