I love all types of music, I have very eclectic tastes, but my favorite music shifts my perception in some way or another. There for most of my music has some form of psychedelic, experimental, and or improvisational qualities to it. I love to hear strange sounds that are otherworldly or sounds that are common in life but not always so common in popular music, like a carefully placed screeching shopping cart sounds, or something that sounds like static and rain or what if rain had a static sound combined with its own as it hits the ground? I like poetic and thought out lyrics, I hate dull superficial lyrics and I hate bands where all there music sounds the same. ANd if I close my eyes and the music takes me on a trippy otherworldly journey, then I know its good, if dance to it and I feel as if I'm dancing in another world I know it is right for me. To me music should free the mind. But, I also enjoy music that talks of issues I believe are important.
Those are the basics but I still love all music. Peace out, and keep listening.
