Similar to Simon and Garfunkel similar time period which helps explain. The music is beautiful it is a soul felt music, much better then the pop today.
Didn't fully appreciate this song in high school even though I wore Vs out. I like it more now. First show I went to was Pearl Jam In Murfreesboro, TN at MTSU in '93. Only time they ever covered Sittin on the Dock of the Bay.

Don't know how anyone could hear this song, listen to the lyrics and not just fall in love with it...one of my all time favorites!
This song reminds me of the hottest skater chick in high school...I'd smoke cigs and slouch...and pine for her. She was in love with a senior...he was a better skater. I was but a freshman. No car. Ah...memories.
