Is this song about a mentally unsafe young girl who's mother put her into a mental hospital? I am asking in all honesty... I really love Pearl Jam! There music has a deepness that plays with your emotions! If I could listen to two bands for the rest of forever, it would be Pearl Jam and Nirvana!

I disagree. All their music is amazing. The other albums are different and I appreciate that fact. Thank God they aren't like Nickleback and playing almost the same music for every song. Long live the Jam. ;)
none of their albums are the same. they evolve and change and thats what makes them great. not just a pop rock band spitting out the same garbage every 2 years. yes Ten is hard and rocking and full of energy. But their other albums have their own energy and charisma and are just as great. I have yet to hear an Pearl Jam album or song I don't like. One of the greatest and most influential bands of the last 2 decades.

There was a kind of energy that just came together for Ten. I don't think they ever reached that kind of climax again...none of the other albums feel the same way.
