Bluegrass/gospel artist Paul Williams is both an accomplished mandolin player and tenor vocalist. Raised in eastern Tennessee, Williams began his musical career in the early '50s as part of Lonesome Pine Fiddlers. Afterwards, he signed up with Jimmy Martin's Sunny Mountain Boys (Williams was joined in the group by one of the most respected banjo players ever, J.D. Crowe), but by 1963, Williams had given up on his musical career, as he took a job with the U.S. Postal Service. He didn't turn his back on music entirely however, as he performed gospel music around regionally. After his retirement, Williams' interest in music was rekindled, as he issued a pair of albums in the late '90s, 1997's self-titled debut and 1999's Old Ways and Old Paths. ~ Greg Prato, Rovi
it's nice to see Pandora is on top of things. Customers have complained about the bio for over two years and nothing has changed. Perhaps just another reason folks have swiched to Spotify, iheart radio or grooveshark. I'm just saying.

There is a great documentary out called Paul Williams Still Alive. Very inspiring story of success, addiction and new-found success and survival. He wrote a new song The Dreamer's Still Alive - you can watch it on pay per view.

WRONG PAUL WILLIAMS BIO. This happens on Slacker and iTunes as well.
Wrong Paul Williams biography, this station is the 70s pop song writer/ celebrity Paul Williams not the bluegrass player who worked for the USPS (lol), please update. I just meet Paul at a Q & A in NYC after a viewing his new movie, Paul Williams Still Alive. Much mike the performer, the movie is very entertaining and full of much humor... highly recommend this movie if you have the chance! Cheers!!

I wish that I had known. I was in MSN 2 wks ago for my Dad's memorial (I live in Boston,now).....Paul W has been in my heart for years...I think he gently pushed me through some very tough times with his words, melodies, and softness.....what more can I say?
For Paul Williams fans, I recommend the documentary, Paul Willaims Still Alive by Steve Kessler. I just saw it at the Wisconsin Film Festival. It was very well done with full cooperation of Mr. Williams. In fact, he often joins Mr. Kessler at film fests. Unfortunately, not to Madison this weekend, tho.
I've come to the conclusion that the only real way I can react to Pandora's obvious disregard for their users is to click no on my annual $36.00 a year renewal notice that'll be in the old email box any day now. I suggest the same approach for anyone else as disappointed as I am. I used to think Pandora was about the only decent product in Oakland...now the truth is out.....Oakland DOES totally suck in every measurable way....

this is just weird that Pandora persists in having the wrong bio for this artists...

This bio is not for the multi-talented and multi-award winning singer-songwriter-actor Paul Williams. I know no one is paying attention, but I add my voice to those pleading, 'Please fix!'
Absolutely not The Paul Williams who authoried numerous hits, mostly recorded by others. it's a shame they don't correct this.

This guy has a Grammy award.

The bio isn't correct for Paul Williams. He wrote and recorded a lot, a lot in the early 70's . The Carpenters recorded some of his songs, "We've only just begun", "I won't last a day without you" and several others.
I remember when he would appear on talk shows when I was a kid; and variety shows also. Seems like he did "The Match Game" a few times. Didn't he make a movie? I even saw his movie "Phantom of the Paradise"- ha!
