Following in the tradition of the Black Keys and the White Stripes, the Pack A.D. play a blend of rock and electric blues. The female duo is comprised of drummer Maya Miller and vocalist/guitarist Becky Black, both of whom left their previous Pixies-styled band to focus on bluesier music. After emerging in 2006 as one of Vancouver's more buzzworthy bands, the Pack A.D. signed with Mint Records in 2007 and released a debut album, Tintype, the following January. Funeral Mixtape, the duo's second offering, was issued eight months later. The group toured heavily in support of both releases and eventually returned to Vancouver, where the bandmembers holed themselves up at Hive Studios and began tinkering with new sounds. Although still a blues band at heart, the Pack A.D. found themselves drawn to punk and garage rock, both of which steered the sound of 2010's We Kill Computers in a slightly different direction. ~ Andrew Leahey, Rovi
Being a blues/rock enthusiast I can say that the guitar parts on this are weak beyond belief. Late entrances throughout and poor bending leaves the already repetitive beat even more disappointing. They sound too much like they're WANTING to play blues, rather than just doing it. Boo.
Don't read this because it actually works. You will get kissed on the nearest possible Friday by the love of your life. tomorrow will be the best day of your life. however if you do not post this comment to at least 3 songs you will die in 2 days. now you've started reading this so don't stop. this is so scary put this on at least 5 songs in at least 143 minutes when if done press f6 and your lovers name will appear on the screen in big letters this is scary because it actually works!!
Yeah boys-- why lead with a Following in the tradition of blah blech when really, these sounds are convergent and on point with the contemporary blues/rock trend that reaches beyond your idea of leader$hip. You sound so condescending and apologetic, Andrew and Rovi. I guess your girlfriends listen to Pack AD?

Wow. I thought this was jack white....I was pleasantly surprised. :)
You can't compare the two. These guys are awesome on a completely different scale. The Black Keys are awesome on another scale. I wouldn't care if I had to listen to one over the other. They both f**king rock!!!!!
I am a die heard Black Keys fan from the boys state of Ohio and these girls kick some major a**!!! It is awesome to hear a girls group like this! Rock on ladies ;)!!
Thanks, Pack, for submitting all of your albums to Pandora - I can't tell you how awesome it is to get the entire range of material.

gah! Pack! why did you have to cancel on Spokane!?! I mean, it was only a massive ice storm on top of pack snow on I-90... what's the deal?? I guess I'll have to settle for getting my Pack experience on Amazon...
Beautiful! I love that the Pack is getting a ton of play. They've played quite a bit at my beloved Brass Rail, Fort Wayne, IN. Saw them twice and they rocked my socks off. Seeing them live should be the next thing you plan.
Yeah, they're a little white stripey, but what bands today aren't influenced by some other band? Plus, if you listen to the chord progressions and lyrics, they really do have their own unique style... and only Meg White can pull off the maddeningly cymbal filled drum beats she whacks away at.
