Comprised of the unlikely trio of Trey Anastasio, Les Claypool, and Stewart Copeland (of Phish, Primus, and Police fame, respectively), the supergroup Oysterhead first came together for an intended one-off gig at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival in May 2000. The chemistry between the three musicians was immediate, and the sold-out performance went off so well that the trio decided to pursue their partnership further, eventually entering Anastasio's Vermont recording studio in April 2001 to begin work on an album. The end result, The Grand Pecking Order, was released in October 2001, followed by a supporting tour of North America. ~ Steve Bekkala, Rovi
you finger your butthole? and your opinion matters? :) This group was a defninite drug thing for all three of them. All of them have/had some issues with Bolivian health powder

Bio info is accurate. They first came together under the Oysterhead name in May 2000. When you saw the three play together it was a Primus show.
sam_talkington
Bio info in wrong. I saw Primus on the Antipop tour in February of 2000 at the UVM fieldhouse, and Stuart and Trey replaced Brain and Ler for a few songs.
I saw in vegas, think it was frog brigade but sickest two nights of shows ever, started at like 1am and went till 5-6am, crazy times, think it was 2001.. Les, Trey, Stuart and Buckethead were all there, sick stuff

yeah I always thought that (winnie), but only on the track little faces especially the lyric about the moon.
l think les claypool kicks a** on the bass no matter what group of people he's with . he's not much of a singer , but l dont wanna just hear the bass only either !
Why hate on Ringo? he wasn't doing anything too impressive, but his kinda lazy fills fit the beatles music pretty well. I can't imagine anyone else drumming for them. Ringo's an inescapable piece of the beatles sound.
Hey Guy whether you like them or not Primus DOES NOT SUCK it is a term of endearment to Les from the old days. That is the end of that discussion thread.

Hell Yeah!!!! Les Claypool and Steward Copeland, in the same band. Yes!!!! And Primus doesn't suck.
I love the fact you can tell which artist wrote each song. Never gets old. It's like The Beatles, you can tell when Paul wrote the song or if it was John. Every album you have the crap from Ringo

Wow, it's a little like Primus, but more annoying.
