It has been suggested that nostalgia tends to run on 15- to 20-year cycles. If that's the case, then the Los Angeles alternative rock outfit Operator are right on schedule, because their blend of booming, full-throated vocals and punk- and metal-influenced guitar riffs calls back strongly to the grunge rock sound of 1992, when Soundgarden and Pearl Jam were first hitting the musical mainstream. Operator began as a solo project by singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Johnny Strong, who along with those pursuits is also a stuntman, competitive fighter, and occasional actor who had a small role in Ridley Scott's war drama Black Hawk Down. The first Operator album, 2004's Can You Hear Me Now, was a self-released demo that attracted the attention of Atlantic Records, which signed Operator in 2005. Strong began recording Operator's Atlantic debut as a solo album, but eventually lead guitarist Paul James Phillips (formerly of the nu metal hitmakers Puddle of Mudd), rhythm guitarist Ricky Thomas, bassist Wade Carpenter, and drummer Dorman Pantfoeder completed the lineup. Thus aggregated, Operator's Atlantic debut, Soulcrusher, was released in the summer of 2007. ~ Stewart Mason, Rovi
This band absolutely nailed this CD, awesome….I still can’t believe they called it quits. I did get to see them in Philly on this tour…..

seriously was thinking this was some previously unreleased soundgarden/chris cornell before i looked at the name on my screen. Baffled and amazed. great song though.
These guys said "to hell with it, Soundgarden is never going to reunite and Chris Cornell wants to make garbage solo albums we can just imitate everything about the band and bring back the sound of our idols". Good job guys you are the true story of a cover band that now has to keep the legacy alive, I don't even want to hear your music when I see you live. I just want you to play Soundgarden covers all night, love that early 90's Puget Sound nostalgia.
I wish I sounded like Cornell! Heck Cornell probably wishes he sounded like Cornell '92. Soulcrusher album rocks all the way through. Take my word "screw" the critics if your looking for a solid album not a one hit wonder Operator is worth your money. Remember people were very critical fo Zepplin 1. Time will tell I hope this is not there last album. The world needs more Rock like this.
