Experimental pianist Omar blends the unique sounds of various Asian and European countries into a lush and mystical New Age mix. He came upon these international flourishes earnestly; Omar was born to a UN diplomat and spent his youth moving from country to country. Training to become a classical pianist during this time, he came out of it a well-rounded musician that had the sort of exposure to unique folk traditions that most composers take years to experience. His first album, Opal Fire, was released in 2002. ~ Bradley Torreano, Rovi

His music was introduced to me by a woman whom I fell very much in love with, as did she with I. We had a wonderful 8 months together until reality oulled us apart. I will always be greatful for her introducing my to Omar's music.
One of his best songs is Whispers in the Moonlight. Simply beautiful! He has the kind of talent that it takes to be a wonderful composer...his ability to make melodies intertwine is spectacular.
