By now Coldplay music is heard as a motor function of the early 21st Century. This collection is a nice mixture to those familiar sounds of songs we all know!
The mandolin player is the incomparable Chris Thile. He pretty much shows up everywhere after Nickel Creek. Right now, he's focusing on the Punch Brothers and a Yo-Yo Ma project.
Its all music, its all good.
How could this possibly be a 'mistake'?? This is way better than the original.

Coldplay must absolutely love this version ... similar to Hendrix playing Dylan's All Along the Watchtower ... sometimes another artist takes the piece to a whole 'nother level / place ... amazing. (but also because Coldplay wrote a great song)

The clocks cover truly illustrates how simple catchy pop tunes are.
I think my favorite cover is one of those Grateful Dead tunes.
