No Use For A Name

Hardcore punks No Use for a Name formed in Sunnyvale, California, in 1987, originally comprised of singer/guitarist Tony Sly, guitarist Chris Dodge, bassist Steve Papoutsis, and drummer Rory Koff. Making their recorded debut later that year with "Turn It Around" -- their contribution to a double 7" released by Maximum Rock'n'Roll magazine -- NUFAN next resurfaced in 1989 with the single "Let 'Em Out," followed a year later by their full-length debut, Incognito. After 1991's Don't Miss the Train, the group signed with Fat Wreck Chords for 1993's The Daily Grind; lineup changes regularly plagued No Use for a Name, and by the middle of the decade only Sly and Koff remained from the original roster. After 1994's Leche con Carne, the band kept a relatively low profile before resurfacing three years later with Making Friends, recorded with new guitarist Chris Shiflett and bassist Matt Riddle.

Shortly after completing 1999's More Betterness!, Shiflett exited NUFAN to join the Foo Fighters; he was replaced by former Suicidal Tendencies guitarist Dave Nassie. The NRA Years followed in 2000, and the following tour was promoted with a live album a few months later. The band stepped back into the studio at the end of 2001 and reappeared the next year with Hard Rock Bottom. Sly issued a split acoustic album, aptly titled Acoustic, with Lagwagon's Joey Cape in 2004 before Keep Them Confused followed for NUFAN in 2005. The band's ninth studio release, The Feel Good Record of the Year, was recorded at the Blasting Room studio with producer Bill Stevenson and released in April 2008. Tony Sly died on August 1, 2012, at the age of 41. ~ Jason Ankeny, Rovi

I agree they need to get some more of the old Phat Wreckords and original NUFAN on pandora.
"f**kin poser punk emo s**t" This isn't emo.. More like melancholy Pop-

They should get their old stuff. It's kinda lame but awesome at the same time.

Leche Con Carne is fantastic album! Pandora, do us all a favor and put that album on here.
cgway2s1
Leche Con Carne?
weak selection of NUFAN goodies
One must pick and choose the songs from these albums. Only a few are really good, some are OK, but most a mediocre at best.
everything after making friends was....horri a b l e .
But I can't seem to find Thorn in My Side anywhere, except on The Punk, The Bad and The Ugly(An out of print(at least I think so) compilation album from Cleopatra Records).
Yeah, older NUFAN is much better but I can't help but love Internationa l You Day. It's one of their better songs, along with Thorn in My Side and Permanent Rust.

Most of NUFAN's biography is regarding their older (read: better) stuff. Yet the selected discography includes only their last three albums, and last three sentences of their biography. Add some more of their music, please!
txchick83
These guys rock, but unfortunatel y Pandora is missing their best albums... More Betterness ROCKS!
Man I remember looking for a NUFAN shirt back in like 99ish at a store in the mall and the guy was like who are they? that a local band or something? I almost dropkicked him. That said these guys are a great band.
