Like many aspiring musicians, guitarist/vocalist Nick Colionne was born into the business. At the behest of his stepfather, he picked up the guitar at the age of nine. A professional touring artist by the age of 15, Colionne spent much of his time on the road with older musicians, often penciling in a fake mustache to fit in. However, his mother, Juanita, wasn't about to let her son get off without an education, so Nick graduated from high school, went to college, and now finds himself -- when he isn't touring and recording -- teaching and mentoring elementary-school students in Elgin, IL. He's released four albums since 1994. His latest is the smooth jazz and funk collection Just Come On In. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
Nick's guitar style is so friendly, that you can listen to it all day... We got to meet him at the Big Bear Lake music festival with Rick Braun and others... it was a hot summer afternoon, but Nick was the Cooolest... THEN we were treated to his BLUES songs... THE BEST EVER ! His voice tops the Blues singers. Wish he would cut an album, just BLUES :)
Saw Nick in Chicago Febrary 16. The cat is smooth, funky and can rock a show. Very good......a top talent. How does he move those fingers so fast and smooth?

I recentl had a chance to se him in concert in Charlotte, NC. Let me just say I love watching someone who loves their art. Yes because the venue was small enough he was able to mix with the audience twice during his show. Simply marvelous!

I saw him in concert (twice) in Atlanta. The first time he sung Rainy Night in Georgia and that's exactly what happened. Yes, he is awesome.
I saw him about 4 years ago here in Atlanta at the Intercontinetal Hotel with Warren Hill, he is great in concert he comes in the audience and plays to you. The cat is BAD!!!!!!!
Very smooth voice. One that can take you very much outside your box. It make feel that I'm walking through field with nothing out there but flowers and blue sky and big fluffy clouds.
Nicks music is soothing, and he has so much energy. There is nothing like catching one of his live shows.

The man sounds like a great promise with the beat timing and delcate plucking...smooth to the ear and I'm sure acceptable to the more established artists....and I heard a lot of them at Columbia Records..
I was working one summer day and heard this artist at "Jazz on the Lake" in Elizabeth Park, he tore it up. It was a hot summer day.
