Taking cues from Muse, Coldplay, and even the Bravery, Seattle alt-rock outfit the Myriad began with university students Jeremy Edwardson and John Roger Schofield. Determined to start a band in which all members had equal artistic input, the duo recruited Randy Miller, Jonathan Young, and Steven Tracy to join them in the endeavor. Their debut album, You Can't Trust a Ladder, was released in 2005 and chosen as a Staff Favorite on iTunes. The Myriad's biggest boost came in December 2007, when the band won MTV2's Dew Circuit Breakout competition. Their video for "A Clear Shot" began rotation on the network in January 2008, the same year that their second album, With Arrows, with Poise, was released on Koch Records. ~ Katherine Fulton, Rovi
I miss this band! Randy's death was a tragedy. I gather Jeremy is still active in the music business, but I wonder what the 2 Johns and Steven are up to now...
A couple of yrs ago I bookmarked these guys (not on pandora) and later on pandora (now) I heard the song " A Thousand Winters Melting" and they became on of my new faves. Oh YEAH!!!

These guys came to Vegas, and I was immediatly impressed and hooked on their intriguing, somewhat creepy style of music. These guys rock. And one of the band members says, "Chillion!"
pffft, way better than Coldplay, I like CP, but these guys are better to me :)

They're great live! The thing that sets them apart for me is that the music isn't just intrinsic, the lyrics are MUCH deeper than those of coldplay...there's many more layers to what they do. I also love that they're bold with their faith when they play...and that they've made it to a larger audience than when I saw them play Uprising Fest in Washington.

do we really need another band like this? its one thing to be a musician and play cool new original music, its quite another to just be one of the far too many bands that just sound like coldplay. i don't get it, who does coldplay sound like? radiohead? still...

Amazing! I'm a little biased though...I know these guys and they're awesome, too. We need to get the new album on here, quick!
