Todd, Feelin' Good was written by Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse around 1965. Its a stardard song recorded by many artists but made popular by Nina Simone. Muse's cover is also excellent!
Wasn't this written by Shawn "Hammerhands" Barrows? I've heard him perform it live a few times.

I knew I heard this song done a few times. Apparently it was done for a musical then followed a gaggle of artists to cover it. I like it! Good song to hear while I am sitting here at work trying not to fall asleep on a Friday.
You're thinking of the great Nina Simone, one of the most soulfoul and talented singers of all time. Yes it appeared in Point Break. Her music is used throughout the film, even making it into the story, and many others, which is not surprising considering her shear power & talent, as well as the emotion she communicates while singing. This version of the song is great too (I LOVE Muse) but I just have to give it to Nina for her powerful (orginal? at least first I ever heard) version.

Isn't it a cover? I think this song was in "Point of No Return", an early to mid-nineties film. Can anyone confirm?
Interesting story. I saw Seven Pounds and I heard this song. I remember thinking, I really like this song, I'm going to look it up when I get home. I didn't. I forgot. Just now, however, I heard Michael Buble's version on one of my Pandora stations and saw that Muse did a version of it. Since I like Muse a lot, I looked it up, heard the clip, and thought it sounded familiar, like a song I heard from a movie. After looking it up on google, I confirmed that it was the song I heard in Seven Pounds.
Spectacular remake - If you want to see something funny check out Muse's live rendition of this song on a Spanish (look on youtube) radio show. Let's just say when they were told not to swear... the opposite happened. Hahaha :D

Eat your heart out, Michael Buble. This is the best version of this song I've ever heard.
