Call me crazy, but I'm starting to think this song is about the split between your "higher" self and your egocentric world. Peoples self absorption generally will create chaos in their lives. A split between who you really are and what your ego has created. When he sings when we bleed we bleed the same, I'm thinking he is saying its one in the same (person). I think this song is about is search for oneself. It's a lonely world when you don't know yourself.
It's a really different level of electronica for Muse (well, ok, only slightly) and i think that they should make a few more songs similar to this one.
