I love it one of the best bands ever. People who don't like this band are crazy

how would people be offended by this song? because it has the word atheist in the title? if that is so, i feel very sorry for you because you're missing out on a kick a$$ song.
joshiethom summed it perfectly. i couldnt have said it better.

whether I agree or disagree with the message this song might be putting out, I look at the artistic value of both this song and Muse. While some people might be offended by this song, it has created discussion, debate, and (judging by some of the comments below mine) has caused many people to firmly stand up for what they believe in. And we have to appreciate that.
I don't think it should matter whether or not the song mentions Matt is athiest. Just sit back and listen.

Incredible story told in only a few minutes, it takes courage to admit fears, especially fears that all religeous people must feel at one point or another.

I agree with Eric. A few of my favorite bands are vocally Christian and it really detracts from my enjoyment of their music, since I don't connect with many of their lyrics as intended. Bands that don't bring religion into their music, or better yet sing of being atheist (or agnostic) are easier to admire and their music easier to fully enjoy. Btw- I find it interesting that Dan admitted the fear of dying plays a role in his religiosity; the comfort a belief brings has no bearing on its accuracy

and I would much rather learn to be at peace with reality than deny it (especially since, deep down, I could never believe anything as absurd as what the major religions do)
As an Atheist extremely firm in his beliefs, I find it pretty awesome that my favorite musician, the man I idealize, is also an Atheist.
Not that I don't like any Christian bands, but it's great to have such a fantastic artist who doesn't believe in any of that religious garbage and swallow their spiritual placebos.
Starting to like this band more and more and IM 54 lol

Matthew Bellamy is a vocal atheist. I am not an atheist, but I like this song and its lyrics, partly because they remind me of one major reason I am not an atheist.
