Morningwood

New York City's Morningwood brought a delightfully trashy and hedonistic sense of fun to alternative pop/rock in the early 21st century. Led by vocalist Chantal Claret, whose colorful and sexy approach owed much to the Pretenders' Chrissie Hynde and the Divinyls' Christina Amphlett, the Big Apple foursome formed in 2001, molding elements of hard rock, punk, new wave, and glam rock into a sex-driven amalgam of sound. Core members Claret and bassist Pedro Yanowitz (an ex-member of the Wallflowers, for whom he played drums) had originally met at a birthday party, while guitarist Richard Steel (formerly of the band Spacehog) and drummer Japa Keenon O climbed aboard soon after. In 2003, Morningwood recorded their self-titled debut EP, which they released independently on their own Rockhardcock Records label; they followed its release with a four-track EP titled It's T***. The band then signed to Capitol Records on the strength of its live show, which had earned an infamous reputation in New York for its good-natured sexuality and sweaty energy. Producer Gil Norton signed on to helm the band's debut album, Morningwood, which was released in early 2006. Morningwood gained some exposure in 2009 when their song "The Best of Me" was chosen as the theme song for VH1's Daisy of Love. Later that year, the band released its sophomore record, Diamonds & Studs. ~ Alex Henderson, Rovi

Her. F**king. Voice. This isn't even close to anything that I usually listen to... But I love it.
they are playing there Final Shows in march along the east coast opening for MSI.

When they opened for the Bravery in 2005, I didn't know who they were. They mocked the hipster kids in the "no alcohol" area, cursed at the older audience members in the balcony, and stole the show. I've been a Morningwood fan ever since.

yeah they're definitely still around and making music. i hope everyone knows chantal is married to jimmy from MSI.
their still around, I went to a Mindless Self Indulgence concert in NYC and they oppend for them and they were awesomeee

morningwood is awesome, they released a single called "sugar baby" (dunno if thats one word or not) a few weeks ago; its pretty cool, different, but i like it.
Morningwood is a really good song. So it just came in pandora? Weird. This song is on the game Thrillville. Ever heard of it? Well yeah, when your walking around your theme park this song goes on your theme park radio. This is one of my favorite songs on it. Nice.
I remember hearing Morningwood on the radio in 2006, I thought that they were awesome!
I wonder if the lack of comments is due to Morningwood not being on Pandora for very long. I also am wondering is Morningwood is indeed still a band, seeing that there's no release since 2006. Like what I hear, however.
