Breathless! This recording is one of those rare lifetime experiences. Four guitar greats on one stage. Wouldn't the world be an awesome place to live if we all "collaborated"? Thanks for this one guys!
What a pleasure to hear such collected talent. Maybe never in our lifetimes again, eh? Have you ever seen a flock of birds turn instantly in the air in the same direction at the same time? Same concept here...mind boggling.
After listening to Don Ross' new collaboration with Andy McKee, I'm now waiting for a similar collaboration, but with more swiss clock slap harmonics! Who to throw in for the two other parts would be an interesting opinion poll among this listenership.

Men of Steel is a supergroup of steel-string guitarists, the new acoustic version of jazz's the Great Guitars. Don Ross, Tony McManus, Beppe Gambetta, and Dan Crary are forces to be reckoned with as soloists, but together form a smart, vibrant quartet. The format of Live: The Art of the Steel-String Guitar shifts from piece to piece, allowing for solo performances , duets, and the inevitable foursome at the beginning, middle, and end of the album. It might have been from an Imax short movie about a family's kayak trip down a river.
