Heavy Metal has existed since 1969 with Led Zepplin. Metallica was formed in 1981. The oldest members of Metallica, Cliff and Kirk were born in 1962 and were definately not touring and using acid in 1972.
metallica has been around longer than people think. Very big and acid hard in Europe 1972. Alot of metallica fans wernt even born. I myself was in high school. They also went by a stage name, Nembusis,any o n e old enough to remember they were bootleg in the us until 79. Back to work.

This song sounds a lot like Enter Sandman, especially the beginning, just with a different singer.
It's a great song, but it almost sounds like Metallica except Dave singing
the beat in the beginning was extremely similar to the beginning of enter sandman, even the transition from the intro

Mustaine is an outstanding vocalist. Unique, definitely. But very good.

This song, you have to give it up for the band. For a "radio friendly" track, this is f'ing great stuff. Shame that the rest of the album wasn't as powerful as this track and Almost Honest, though Use the Man was really good.

I'm not a huge Megadeth fan, but damn this song is good. Mustaine is definitely underrated as a song writer and musician. One of the coolest drum solo openings ever!
