This song makes me cry. 2012 Marvin would still be asking the same questions. War and poverty still plague our society. Hatred based on the color of one's skin still exists. Folks writing off 47% of the population because that% ...disabled ,disenfranchised or a 99%Sing Marvin Sing

Timeless piece from a real visionary. What a tragedy that we lost him so early.
This is his BEST album...memories of being at Fla A&M University....1971! Tell me 'what's happening brother'...music to live by. What a talent Marvin had. MUM!

Each and every song on this album is outstanding!!!One of the greatest albums of all times.
Loved this song growing up, it's just as beautiful, but as equally sad that I am now a mother and this song is still so relevent to the stuggles of the here and now
Marvin Gaye's music definitely transcended time and will live on through the ages. This is one of my favorite songs by Marvin. Marvin was ahead of time with this one. He was singing about what's going on right now. God truly blessed us with Marvin's music.
I totally agree with you sford. Mr. Marvin had a serious vision and it came to pass. What a visionary and genius he was. Relevant to the state of affairs right now....war is still hell, can't find work - can't find job....My prayers to President Obama.
this was only one of marvin gayes greatest hits, it came when life was changing the vietnam war, social issues, love etc. i will always consider marvin gaye to be a man far before his time a man with a vision. i will listen to his music forever.
