Contemporary jazz guitarist Marc Antoine blends his classical training with a multi-cultural urban groove. After studying at the Edouard Paiteron College and the International School of Classical Guitar, he played with a typically varied cast of artists: pop stars like Sting, Basia, and Selena, rappers like Guru'sJazzmatazz project and Queen Latifah, plus acid jazz hipsters the Solsonics and DJ Greyboy. Signed to the New York City subsidiary of GRP Records, Antoine recorded his solo debut Classical Soul in 1994. The album climbed to the top of the contemporary jazz charts, thanks to the single "Unity." Urban Gypsy followed a year later, and in 1998, Antoine resurfaced with Madrid; Universal Language, his first LP for new label Polygram, appeared in early 2000; Cruisin' was released a year later. ~ John Bush, Rovi
I had this playing outside while planting my flowers. My neighbors yelled and said who is that and turn it up. So, I did. Great gardening music, traveling music, sitting around the house doing nothing music. He rules my ipod!

Exquisite ok! Well I think his music is soothing and very pleasing to the mind. I could listen to it all day!
We no longer have a real jazz station in all of Atanta! plenty of country and rap. A major metro city needs to have at least on jazz station. That is mainly why I listen to Pandora......
(continued) It's a shame we don't see him on the West coast much anymore. And a bigger shame we lost a really great Smooth Jazz radio station and all of the great DJ's. :-(

Living in the San Francisco Bay Area we saw Marc play many times LIVE. When KKSF 103.7 used to be to be a SMOOTH JAZZ station they would host several FREE live shows around the bay and Marc would be the headliner quite a few times. Met him in person several times and had him autograph his albums. Very nice guy to talk to. At one 'small venue' we were in the front row with Marc playing about 5 feet from our chair - it was like he was in our house playing just for us! It's a shame we don't see him
I always enjoy Marc Antoines deep, and pasionate play as one the most heartfelt players to date.

I play Acoustic & Electic Guitar and started at a very young age and when I listen to the style and creativity of Marc Antoine . . it takes me to another level. You feel the spirit of heart & soul.
