Manowar was formed by ex-Dictators and Shakin' Street guitarist Ross the Boss. The original lineup included vocalist Eric Adams, bassist Joey DeMaio, and drummer Donnie Hamzik. The group's kitschy approach was designed to be the raw, primal, macho antithesis of classic rock. Their music was based on aggressive riffs, and their lyrics were mostly about fighting, violence, and death. The group dressed in animal skins in concert to underline the point. ~ Steve Huey, Rovi
Manowar sadly doesn't have the respect they deserve over in the States, have been a huge fan of these guys since the 80's and really wish they would get more respect and airplay even on Sirius XM

Ive always jammed to Man-o-war..... but I gotta say. Seeing them live made me lose all respect for the group. They were nothing short of disrespectful for their fans. Treated people like they didnt matter, walked away from kids asking for autograps, and spent the whole show trying to talk girls into coming to the tour bus. Totally full of themselves.

Hail Brothers! From America. Hold your hammers high!!!!!!
Well I hope they fired the lazy bum that wrote this bio. It makes me think he's never heard them before. This was just lazy and exactly the kind of thing I'd expect from a Bieber lover. And damn they are missing quite a few albums from this lineup. Hail and Kill. Death to false Metal.
This bio is very lacking, in many points. This band rocks hard, and their music is the real deal... Although they ARE a bit kitsh but that's what is good about them as well.
The bio is crap. Still the best live show I have ever seen (The Whiskey in L.A.) One of my all time favorite bands; I am glad that they get their respect in Europe because the so-called 'metal experts' here in the states are effin r-tards!
Wow. You can smell the disrespect in the very air... Look, I don't care whether you like Manowar or not, you're getting paid to write a bio of the band. You gush over lesser bands like a lovestruck fangirl...do your job, you hack! Death To False Metal!!!
Yeah Id just be temporarily deaf afterwards again but Id still go to another Manowar concert.

Any band that can skewer RAW MEAT with a broad sword and cook it over open flame with one hand, while belting out THE best songs of battle, war, and destruction into a microphone with the other hand, deserve a MUCH BETTER write-up than this.
Manowar are one of the loudest bands in the world. I would love to go to one of their concerts but am afraid I might have to wear earplugs to not go completely deaf. I still would hear their music though.
good lord. is it just me or is the bio for one of the greatest rock/metal bands about the lamest crap i have ever read? REally? 5 sentences to describe a one of the most original bands out there?
manowar is great because they sing about something importent and arent trying to write songs about a girl or some other depressing s**t. or about how bad there lives are. they love metal. and they just want to show it.
