When I hear this, it stirs up my passion and I want to dance with a willowy raven haired beauty in a long black dress and a rose between her teeth. Morticia Adams comes to mind.

Juerga Album with Jose Reyes (Father of Gypsy Kings Reyes brothers and cousins)is the coolest ever. Lost my copy years ago, but in my mind's ear I can still hear Jose singing the a capella version of the Saeta. I get chills just thinking about it.
When I think of flamenco guitar I think of Manitas. He was introduced to me by my father when I was little girl. He embodies, for me, that which is Flamenco: passion, pride and and an unabashed enjoyment of music.
manits lives!!!!. he is 88 and stills plays. i have many albums and cds. his sound tells you who he is.i am a fan for some 40 plus years.to me he is the best. i love this mans music.one of a kind. there are many many fine flamenco guitar players out there but he tops my list.
Though I always had a love of Flamenco music it was my discovery of "Silver Hands" that that truly awoke the fire in me. There are all these groups about now, but they seem to lack the fire of the older artists who grew up in gypsy encampments in Northern Spain and Southwest France. For lovers of the "true spirit" of flamenco, Manitas de Plata is a great place to start.

Manitas de Plata (Silver Hands) was and is truly
a great flamenco guitarist. I have a CD from many
years ago, a live perdormance at Carnegie Hall,
that is remarkable. This guy is a legend!
