La llorona is a classic Spanish literature story, largely in Latin American countries. This sad but bittersweet narrative talks about a woman who drowns her kids to be with a man she loves, and then claims (to God) that she doesnt know where they went. God does not permit La llorona (the weeping woman) to enter heaven until she has found her children. According to the story, she now wanders the Earth in order to find them while constantly weeping. According to an online translator, the title means 'the legend of the crybaby' in Spanish. This might not be accurate, but that's what I got.
Great song, anyway.
