After Dokken broke up in 1989, George Lynch formed his own band, the Lynch Mob, with Dokken drummer Mick Brown. The band went through several personnel shifts and failed to meet commercial and sometimes musical expectations. Lynch called it quits and devoted his time to a 1993 solo album and a Dokken reunion record in 1995. He reformed Lynch Mob for 1999's Smoke This. ~ Steve Huey, Rovi
...This is a different version than what I have on this album...singer is singing an octave down than my version...I like it, maybe I will cover this one....
Wicked Sensation is the best Lynch Mob album.Lynch Mob is good, Smoke This has some good elements. Revolution is gritty and I like the stripped down nature of the songs. Smoke and Mirrors has some awesome riffs. The latest offering Sound Mountain Sessions is a killer EP. One all Lynch fans should get it has killer tone and the songs have the wicked sensation groove and dynamic between band members
Other than Dokken "Back for the Attack" this was Lynch's best guitar performance over all on an album. Mr Scary just might be the greatest instrumental guitar performance of all time (he did win a Grammy for it). Even Eddie never won one of those... But cover to cover, Wicked Sensation is a really strong album. I wish he would make one more "bad a**" album where he cranks up the distortion and rips.
