Dear Louise: Latin American music isn't just about R&R (rancheras and reggaeton). Specially when it comes down to the music of South America, the craddle of Bossa Nova, Andean Folk, and El Canto Nuevo. Los Tres came in with a particularly eclectic branch of Canto Nuevo, which blends in traditional tonada and cueca song structures with rockabilly and jazz, among other 'American' rythms.
