Los Claxons are a pop/rock band from Monterrey, Mexico, formed around 2004 by Sánchez (vocals, guitar), Nacho (vocals, guitar), and Cholo (electric guitar). Pablo González (bass) joined late in 2005, while Cesareo became the band's permanent drummer sometime in 2009. A pop combo of eclectic influences, from classic and indie rock to Latin American singer/songwriters, Los Claxons released their debut album, Sin Ganga, in 2005 for the independent Movic Records label. A growing word-of-mouth reputation, aided by good visibility on the social networks, allowed the band to perform all over Mexico, and Los Claxons ended the year opening for superstar Diego Torres at the Monterrey Arena. Los Claxons' exposure expanded when Warner Music agreed to redistribute their debut album in 2006. A second album, En Primera, appeared in 2007, featuring Alberto Ramos on drums. The band's popularity kept on growing steadily, and by November 2008 Los Claxons were opening venues for Maroon 5's Mexican tour. Their third album, simply titled Los Claxons, reached the top spot on the iTunes store in Mexico upon its release in May 2010. ~ Mariano Prunes, Rovi
