I grew up with Leslie as a huge part of my life. She is my mother's best friend and a remarkable human being. She wrote every song on this album, all born of personal experience.

Leslie is a good friend of mine, and a treasure. She is incredibly talented and always willing to help others find their talents. She definitely know how to shine, but she also knows how and when to bring others into the light. She is always supporting me in my small endeavors. I met Leslie many years ago at the Kerrville Folk Fest, and heard her do this song "around the campfire." She's a gifted gal, and this song stuck with me . . . it still comes into my head now and then, even after ten years, and having never heard it since.
