They're having this at my local theater and I was so sad. Im too old for some parts but too young for the rest. I was so sad!!! But I'm going to watch more than half the performances. I HAVE TO.
The movie cast was strong!! Who would think Russell Crowe could sing and yes he can sing! Maybe he doesn't have a beautiful voice but it was on tune and pleasant sounding!!! Anyone see movie version of Mama Mia? Pierce Broslin singing? Not perfect but didn't make your ears bleed same for Russell Crowe!!

Did anyone notice that monsieur Thenadier was the only one in the movie who had a thick French accent?
The original Jean Valjean is Colm Wilkinson. He sings in the original cast and in the 10th anniversary dream cast. He also had an actual part in the movie- he was the Bishop of Deigne.
I saw the play with the original London cast when i was 12. I have loved the play since. So when i saw that they were coming out with a movie i freaked out. Then i watched it........Russell doesn't know how to sing. If you've seen the play you would know that. The movie was good and so was the singing but i don't like how they changed the story line. The little boy that sings little people doesn't die until he had finished his song. I saw the new version two weeks ago and little cosette couldn't
I loved the movie. Too bad Russel wasn't a good singer, though I thought it was exciting that Les Mis was the first movie to actually sing while acting, instead of recording it in the studio.
