Their complete works will blow the minds of those who've only heard their dozen most popular songs.
Stones are amazing, Beatles are.. Well, the F'in Beatles; but still, no band has ever had the magical mix of Page (the genius), Plant (the testosterone ) , Bonham (the soul), and JPJ (the mortal Ha). Unparalleled . I found Zep when I was 16, in 1991... Changed my world.

This song is amazing. Like dshupe said LZ1 is a masterpiece.
The genius of this song is that it is such an amazing change of pace from the Side one assault of LZ I and is a hidden gem. Agree that it is a personal song that hits a chord for everyone who has been hurt in love which is all of us. Love how it leads into Black Mountain Side and is a breather before getting loud again on Communicatio n Breakdown. Damn LZ I was a masterpiece.

My 15 YO son is a drummer and completely hooked on Zep. He and some of his buddies have formed a basement band and I get to hear Zeppelin live on the weekends now! John Bonham is smiling from heaven!

Led Zeppelin did not close any doors...it opened the door to heavy metal - they were the first heavy metal band. They expanded the horizons of Acid Rock/Psyched e l i c rock. Did you ever watch The Song Remains The Same? I agree Shawn, Pink Floyd contributed greatly and carried it through.

Without psychedelic rock, there wouldn't have been Led Zeppelin. And given that Pink Floyd's music carried it well into the 80s in their own sound, I think you're inaccurate.

oh man, transcendant and pure. Clearly from a different time, but is so well crafted that it still doesn't sound dated. Remarkable musicianship .
They also opened the door to a multi-genre world and it was a singular band. So basically dont f**k with history.
A classic among classics... the interplay between the over-the-top drums and mournful guitar licks is amazing.
