'NOT A REMAKE...' urgh, why shout so? The genre of blues has emotional power beyond anything else, so Zep had a lot to work with when they reshaped the original. They were ultimately successful in attempting to bring the power of each instrument (incl. vocals) up to the level of that emotional core already present in the song, which is what made them great IMO.
Timeless artistic rock that will never die was blessed to see robert plant in concert in 1990 and jimmy page made a guest appearance the crowd was so f**king loud.

Does it make you feel bad when you're trying to find your way home and you don't know which way to go? No one will ever match Led Zeppelin. So mysterious. I don't look at their songs as music. They bring out a feeling inside me that is far greater than what one feels when they here a song. Zeppelin to me isn't a band. They are legends. Every song. (Except the Crunge!)

This is one of the amazing things about Led Zeppelin, they could turn blues traditionals into rock anthems while keeping the bluesy sound.
An argument can be made that this is their best song. This is Zeppelin at their peak.
