Is there any way to leave TWO thumbs up? This song has been my favorite since the album came out. John Bonham was the best.
I like this tune. Uniquely zeppplin with a touch of beatle flair mixed in.

The first time I ever heard someone cover this one the drummer had to actually walk through a doorway to sit behind his drumset. Being a teenager I thought it was like he had just walked into some sort of spaceship or time machine. There is some truth to that , with some youthful imaginaion mixed in there too.

Awesome... I've seen page and plant together on the no quarter tour.. But to see all of them together would be definitely worth the price of admission.

Lemon song is phenomenal. The beginning guitar riffs. Also the song no quarter. Any song really.
The live version of this song is my favorite Zep tune of all time.
for all those who appreciate zeppelin, jon bonham's kid has learned quite well. he drums in a zep cover band and is PHENOMENAL.
THIS IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE ZEPPELIN SONG!!!! I once saw Umphrey's McGee and they covered this song.....the y did a phenomenal job!!! It was a splendid surpirse :-)

rvk310 - this is a really great tune. This is a great drumming exhibition indeed. Page is no slacker either. Still sounds great turned all the way up! Houses of the Holy could be Zep's best if you had to pick one. "Sing out Hari Hari..."

What's with Plant's voice on this song? It doesn't sound like him, it doesn't sound natural...to o much studio tinkering apparently. Sounds cartoonish.

Plant is an Ace, Page just blows you away, Bohnam crashes like a god yes knows when not to, and like you stated chickenonabu n 2 Jones is faintly keeping the rythym moving ever so smoothly. but best Zeppelin is The Lemon Song with When the Levee Breaks a close second.
