Along with Sabbath and Purple these guys truly helped form metal. Killer song, love how Jimmy Page makes his guitar sound so thick.

black dog is the first Zeppelin song I truly fell in love with. It was the music plus the line Big Leg woman aint got no soul. Is that line in an old Mississippi blues delta song somewhere??? ? I collect music and listen to a lot of blues & never heard that beforehand but I could have missed it.
In my opinion this is the absolute best Zeppelin song.
