The Klezmatics are one of the early groups of the Klezmer revivial that got going in the late 70's. Their line-up has changed some over the years but they bring modern (and even post-modern) sensability to traditional melodies and playing modes. They are highly political at times and they have a good sense of humor. They sing in Yiddish about the spiritual benefits of marijuana in Recht-a-spliff. On a more serious note, their album cover caries the phrase Shvaygen = Toyt or Silence = Death.
The Klezmatics are a klezmer band that's been around for ages and has recorded lots more albums than the two Pandora lists.
I wasn't aware that they'd recorded any Christmas music, but it doesn't surprise me. I expect they're not so much "cashing in" on Christmas as joking around.

OK, Pandora-- are you going to tell us about these guys? Are they Jews cashing in on a Christian holiday? Are they a bunch of Christian musicians who started drinking one night and thought it would be fun to do Christmas carols to klezmer? I am most curious and I love the music!
