I love the Kinks but when I'm in the mood for The Fugs I want to hear The Fugs. You should do whole album sides the way they were meant to be heard like on Grooveshark.
I like their early and later stuff pretty evenly, but there's a certain finesse to their chiller, earlier songs before Ray Davies had a taste for cocaine lol. Then the edgier stuff came in, equally great
When I think of the Kinks....I think a little heavier sound....but this song and a few others like it are what makes them so much better than your average rock group. Know what I mean ?
