Kill Hannah was essentially vocalist/guitarist Mat Devine's dorm room four-track baby until a move to Chicago in 1995. After recruiting a few supporting players, Devine and Kill Hannah debuted the sound -- a glitzy mix of goth tendencies and fashionably crunchy modern rock. Steady local gigs followed, as did a series of self-released EPs and a couple of albums (1997's Here Are the Young Moderns, 1999's American Jet Set). Devine finally found a lineup that stuck as his band's dogged, sometimes thankless tour of duty on the Chicago music scene dragged into the new millennium. With guitarists Dan Wiese and Jon Radtke, bassist Greg Corner, and drummer Garrett Hammond along for the ride, Kill Hannah continued to build a buzz locally while showcasing for majors frequently. The hard work finally paid off in late 2002, when Devine and the band signed with Atlantic. For Never & Ever appeared in October 2003; in addition to new material, it featured a few retooled versions of older songs. Kill Hannah toured in support of the album through year's end, returning to the studio later to complete their next record, 2006's Until There's Nothing Left of Us. The band released its fifth album, Wake Up the Sleepers, in 2009 on the independent label Original Signal Recordings. ~ Johnny Loftus, Rovi
Great live show. Saw them with HIM and Eighteen visions. Had the whole venue jumping.

where's "wake up the sleepers" on here? or how about their older stuff like "american jet set"? as much as i love the songs on "for never & ever" & "until there's nothing left of us" pandora listeners really should be exposed to the rest of their catalog. & as someone who's been going to their shows for about 10 years now i highly recommend if you like these guys to see them live, especially their annual "new heart for xmas" shows.
These boys have beautiful minds; Nicest band I've ever met, they hang out for hours after shows to talk to fans. And their shows are fantastic: charged, exciting, intimate feeling even if the crowd is large...
Kill Hannah is wonderful!! And Mat's unique voice is definitely a plus ;)
0_0 Dude, its amazing... I was just on iTunes, looking up songs for this band, and guess what? They released a new CD! It must've been recent, because it says it was released 2009... man I can't believe I didn't hear about this!

The Guy has such a feminine voice, But he's awesome!
I feel kinda weird leaving this comment, cuz it seems as if this band might be against me, but I really do like their music. It does sound pretty good, though they can get a little whiny sometimes.
i know it may be funny to jump to conclusions but TRY TO GRASP THE MEANING OF "a move to Chicago in 1995" but it would be so funny if it was a miley cyrus reference
amazing band. I've seen them live once and I can't wait til they have another tour date nearby so I can go again. It should be obvious even if all you know about them is the biography above this that their name isn't a reference to Hannah Montana. They're named Kill Hannah because of a bad break-up between the lead singer and his (former, obviously) girlfriend, Hannah. They've been around far longer than Miley Cyrus has been on Disney, so stop jumping to conclusions and enjoy their music :)

If you're going to flame the band, why leave a comment? I mean, really.... Do you have nothing better to do with your time?
LIPS LIKE MORPHINE!!!!
Good music though. I like the techno/elect r i c vibe to it and I didn't think it was a guy singing it at first either.
