The industrial rock duo kidneythieves comprised singer/composer Free Dominguez and producer/multi-instrumentalist Bruce M. Somers. Their debut LP Trickster was released on Push Records in 1998. The band released a single and the Phi in the Sky EP between albums, but their full length Zerospace was released in February of 2002. ~ Jason Ankeny, Rovi
In addition, in '03-'04 (I think) they re-released the Phi in the Sky EP as free mp3 downloads on their site. In '04 ('05?) (again, I think), they released Trickstereprocessed, which was basically a reissue of Trickster along with a tour DVD and the music video for Zerospace.
Meanwhile, Free did at least one solo CD published under her own label, SOFree, called freedoming (my envelope for that has 3 37-cent stamps on it and a handwritten Thank You - Free (yes, that's why I kept it.))
Well, they sort of broke up between '02 and '10. The band got a new singer and tried to get signed as Shocknina, putting out a single on iTunes, Woman's Cry (don't think it worked out, tho).
God I love these guys. Brings back soooooooo may memories of youthful sadism and angst. ( not to mention great drugs and dirty sex...or was it dirty drugs and great sex?. the 90's are such a blur.)
I love that Pandora uses older music along with some new material. It would be a shame if these older tracks would get lost with all the new S**T that's out there.
Lots of these things are grossly outdated...I can't find God in Fire, one of their newer songs from their new album...Just like I can't find a metric ton of songs I like.
Zerospace is one of the most amazing albums ever. The title track could not possibly be any more perfect. Trypt0fanatic (2010) is a great follow-up. And now 2011 has the new Hidden Plan album - it's awesome that they're making music again!
I have only heard Dyskrasia, and I like what I hear. I do notice a similarity to Jack Off Jill. Her voice is similar, but Jessicka from JOJ can scream like a banshee.

I have never seen them live other than videos. I enjoyed phi in the sky and loved zerospace. I have not heard enough of the new album to form an opinion about it.
I saw them live in 2002, opening for KMFDM. I liked their sound back then.

i would have to agree with prescilla.currier ...they definetly didnt not ungrade with there new album....like where did the industrial go?? lol

Kidneytheives were once very good. But then Tryptofanatic came out and they turned into white trash music. All the artistic quality and strong music fell away and we are left with sad excuses for songs, like "Freeky People" (which, by the way, sounds very close to "freaky peephole".) No one else will say it, so I felt I had to.

like real talk though anyone who trys to hate on kidneythieves should just f**king die cuz i cannot see why anyone could not like this band seriously...

Kidneythieves have a new album and website! TRYPT0FANATIC is out. Spread the word and find it at http://kidneythieves.com/. Sweet!
Heads up: the new album Trypt0fanatic is out. Apparently on iTunes soon, downloadable at http://kidneythieves.com right now. It's as good as I had hoped, which is ridiculously good.
Speaking of Birthday Massacre they opened for Mindless Self Indulgence and I became a fan. Even did up my kids dog house in the album art. http://picasaweb.google.com/Willtur/Doghouse#
i am wondering where the Trickster album is??? Has Pandora engineers not uploaded it yet? I LOVE this band, from the very first song I hever heard..Not to mention the Amazingly modern re-do of "Crazy"- Patsy Cline was too shy too reveal such emotion as Free did...Would love to see them in Concert!!!
