An award-winning songwriter, producer and performer, Kenneth Cope was educated in Houston, Texas at the local High School for Performing Arts. He began his career in the music industry by composing songs expressly for the youth of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In 1989, he gained a wider audience, yet still within the Latter-day Saint community with the release of Greater Than Us All, a concept album on Christ. He brought his own and others' compositions to life with the extraordinary concept album Women at the Well that focused on women of the scriptures. In general, he has produced or performed in the Sacred/Inspirational style. However, in 1991 and 1998, Cope opted for a more mainstream CCM sound with Voices and Stories from Eden's Garden. Stories from Eden's Garden earned him 5 Pearl Awards, including the Album of the Year. He and wife Kathy have three daughters and live in Salt Lake City, Utah. ~ Dacia A. Blodgett-Williams, Rovi
Pandora just played Brothers, this is what I was talking about! The reality of what these 2 went through, set to powerful Kenneth Cope melody... overwhelming! I met Kenneth in a restaurant and told him how truly powerful and moving his compositions were to me, he was very humble and took the attention away from himself by introducing his friend to me...Michael Webb.
After the release of My Servant Joseph, I listened while driving from Utah to Palmyra NY. I own an LDS gift shop there and bought it to play in the store. Alone, staring at the road in the middle of Wyoming, focusing on the music and especially the words, I not only teared up but was so touched, lost all control over my emotions. No piece of music has ever done that to me before or since. After maybe 100 times hearing it, it still gets me! Listen to it with NO distractions...you WILL be moved!

i love kenneth cope's music! as others have stated, it makes you feel the spirit so strongly. i feel like i am right there with the Savior! thank you ,pandora for making his music available and thank you, kenneth, for using the incredible talent that you have been blessed with in such an awe inspiring way!
His album A Prayer Unto Thee is so beautiful. I wasn't the most active youth in church growing up, but listening to his versions of these hymns I felt the spirit so strong and I had a desire to build my testimony. He sings these hymns like he is actually speaking with God. Someone thank him for me.

Kenneth Cope is a true artist and one who is unafraid to sing of more important things than the usual dross mainstream music is mired in.

By accident, several years ago, I met Kenneth Cope prior to a performance. My impression is that he is a very humble, unassuming, pleasant person and that his music truly reflects his thoughts and feelings. I am grateful that he shares his talent with us and very grateful that Pandora includes artists like Kenneth Cope, Hillary Weeks, and Paul Cardall. Thank you so much.

Kenneth Cope is absolutely amazing! His talent for writing and expression of the life and love of the savior is absolutely incredible, deeply moving, and sensational in every way. His music has touched my heart and soul in ways that no other voice could penetrate during some of my deepest heart wrenching personal and family trials. His music brings peace, enlightenment, and solace. I am always strengthened when I hear the words and music of Kenneth Cope. He is a gift from God to this world.

I feel so edified whenever I listen to these kinds of music. Thank you for your talents!! LOL
Great to hear Brother Cope & Brother Cardall and others on Pandora. I too would like to hear Paul and Kenneth collaborate. What great talent the Lord has blessed them with.
I asked for My Morning Jacket, Wilco, Modest Mouse and Neil Young, what's this guy's correlation? . . . just that he's southern..I dont get it. And I've skipped all the songs I can this hour, I just want to hear something remotely close to what I chose, not Kenneth
I know the man, Kenneth Cope. His music is a transparency and a reflection of his own soul and of his deep and abiding love for the Greatest of us all. For me, the music is their inter dialogue of pure light and healing for us to breathe in His sweet kindness and new life...
