California native Kendall Payne grew up loving show tunes and open mic nights at local clubs. Inspired by the women she saw performing, Payne started writing and playing her own songs at 15; after one show, she met with producer Ron Ainello, who introduced her to record label executives. She also played the 1998 Lilith Festival and released her debut album, Jordan's Sister, in 1999 on Capitol Records. ~ Heather Phares, Rovi
Right- the neat thing about Aslan is that it is speaking of God- just like Aslan in the books represents God. If you listen to the lyrics and think about it in this light, it's pretty refreshing. I think Kendall Payne is an awesome writer and beatiful talent.
I love this song Aslan! Reminds me of Chronicles of Narnia maybe because the lion has the same name. It seems like a beautiful song to sing to a baby for some reason. Her style is very unique in the Christian music industry. I wish they had more songs by her. I have to check out her other songs.
