Leading planetarium composer Serrie has been looking to the heavens for inspiration for over a decade. Coming from a family ensconced in the aviation field, Serrie now soars and glides with his hands on the controls of analog and digital synthesizers. His rhythmic outings often have an understated heroic feel, although he has also done some more pop-oriented instrumentals on his 1990 release Tingri. However, he seems most at home in the longer-form space-music journeys for which he initially became known. His style seemed even further developed on his partnership with Gary Stroutsos for the 2000 recording, Hidden World. ~ Linda Kohanov, Rovi
...really are. And it is the gift that just keeps on giving and epithanating. I'm talking to you Marty. And if you have any fixed ideas about Scientology's non-belief in God...I didn't find or know God until I got into Scientology. God is your Eight Dynamic. There are a lot of other denominations that are Scientologists aswell. I audited a Muslin lady the other day and she was VGIs and did great. Oh wow!!! Do you know what an epithany is? Well, it's not a new model of car, it is an ah-hah! moment. It is an understanding or a new realization about something. In Scientological parlance it is a cognition. That is what happens when you do Scientology or Dianetics Auditing...you have an epithany or cognition and the bleep! that has been screwing up your life just blows and it is gone forever. In the blink of an eye you will never be the same again. You will be flabbergasted at who you
I have been listening to Jonn Serrie for over a decade. My trips to Hawaii are not complete unless I have a Jonn Serrie album playing in my headphones whlle I'm hiking there . This is some of the most beautiful music ever made!
Jonn is AWESOME! I have his CD Planetary Chronicles I and II, absolutely love them! His music creates images of distant galaxies, nebulae, barren and mysterious landscapes on far away planets!!
Boy! these people who have seen Jonn Serrie. I wish I could find out when he is appearing locally in Florida. I have the video Tingri and it is awesome. I would love to see this guy perform live. I have quite a few of his albums. Universal music for sure!

I happened to see Jonn Serrie in concert. He opened for Tangerine Dream. He was a one man show peforming songs from "And The Stars Go With You" and more. He stole the show, in my opinion. His mastery of his "instrument " was fascinating and memorable. One "guitar" and a lot of supporting electronics. I will often try to explain to people what he was doing when playing "and the stars go with you". I can see him up there on stage like it was yesterday when I listen to his music.

Be sure to check out "And the Stars Go With You" - IMO the best he's done and I've heard nearly everything of his. I've heard him live, too, at a planetarium in Bradenton Fl; I think he lives in the area. This is great stuff.

I have recently had the good fortune to actually "friend" Jonn Serrie on Facebook. Not only is this guy an incredible musician, he is truly a wonderful person as well! :-) He took the time to answer my very newbie-level question about analog synthesizers, and gave me three of the most encouraging words an aspiring ambient/space/Prog-rock composer could ever hope to hear: "Go for it!" :-)
i've listened to john serrie since his first cd came out, called tingri, when i first heard the music,it really caught my attention, and i will continue to enjoy his awesome music.note to john "your awesome"
I agree.Serrie is very talented and I enjoy and play his music alot.but my personal #1 to hear, relax, wash the day away, and lye back and go anywhere I choose. I'm sure most of you already know him ,but if not , you should seriously give him some listening time and I promise you will fall in love with his soul healing music of Liquid MInd. John Bluzj
I can not think of an artist that has so consistenly created music that attempts to move ones spirit and reflect the possable sound of other worldly even celestrial hights. Thank you Jonn for the musical journey that has fed my soul.
He has always been a favorite of mine as can be attested by the collection of CD's I currently own. He also has a Christmas CD which would add nicely to seasonal mix that time of year. The album Tingri is a classic and his Planetary Chronicles are especially good.
Jonn Serrie is a sublime composer of "space music". Perhaps "planetarium music" would be an apt description also.In the very best of the New Age tradition he has been at the cutting edge of this genre of music for some time and has put out numerous albums of which, the one this site has on hand, is perhaps the weakest of the lot.It is my sincere hope that Pandora will look into more of Serrie's music. I am confident that after doing so, we will see here a better representation of his work.
