Jon Secada (he legally changed his first name from Juan in 1990) immigrated to the U.S. at the age of nine in 1971, settling in Miami where his parents opened a coffee shop. Becoming involved with Gloria Estefan's career, he co-wrote six songs on her multi-platinum 1991 album Into the Light, among them the number one hit "Coming out of the Dark," and sang backup vocals on her subsequent tour. His second English-language album, Heart, Soul & a Voice (1994), sold over a million copies. Amor (1995), his second Spanish-language album, won him another Grammy. Thanks Jon, that albums special songs has been having an influence throughout my life since age 11. ... now as a 30 years old man daily I bump at work, and it revealed my true love to me. Wow
I remember that 1992 album, I loved the album then (I was 10) and I still love it (at 30). Some people are just meant to sing. I think Jon Secada is one of those people. I love him y el musica!! Truly blessed and talented man!!
I will ALWAYS be a HUGE fan of this guy!He is STILL around and always giving to the community! He came here at a young age, became a teacher...Lucky for us,.Gloria Estefan asked him to sing backup and write a few songs for her.I LOVE him.Not only is he hot,but is down to earth and so caring!~.......I have friends from all over the world,I am talking about Indian and Egypt to Pakistan,Tunisia who know his name because I am always bragging about him.I will continue to do so!

three years is a long time away and I have not heard any of his music on his latest album is it worth buying.I've love his music from the first song so smooth and dreamy.
I thought all of his (Jon Secada) songs were good. Some of them even bring a tear, I do not know how I could claim two from the same group (Miami Sound Machine) but I do, This one is one of mine.
