I absolutely love this song, one of my favorites by him. Makes me wish I could play more than chords.
JM is such a great writer, very deep & cerebral. Love the 1st verse. We all have belief, some call it faith. We all have a measure given to us by God. Most people have more than they know. I can smell a John Mayer song a mile away. I heard 3 seconds of the beginning of this song and I knew it!! I am a fan of his music, of him? NOPE! I do like a good John Mayer song and I can clump this one into the batter.
You gotta respect John Mayer… don't know why I feel iffy sometimes about what he does… but never the less, like I said… you gotta dig what he's doing or at least attempting to do. I HATE "Critics"… & I'm not about to become one… so i'll just say what Louis Armstrong once said about what the definition of "good music" is; it went something like "… if it makes your foot get tapping… then there is something going on there…" :)
